With 10 seconds left on the clock and Kansas down 3, Sherron Collins drove the length of the floor and found Mario Chalmers for an improbable clutch 3 that sent the 2008 National Championship into overtime. In OT Kansas outplayed Memphis en-route to the school’s 3rd National Title, ending a 20 year drought.

2003 Big 12 Conference Game
Beginning a win-streak

As part of a 24-point, 23-rebound performance, Nick Collison connected on a late 3 point shot to give Kansas its first 2nd half lead over #3 ranked Texas and spurred them on to a 90-87 victory. At the buzzer, fans rushed the court at Allen Fieldhouse. This victory started a 7-game win-streak for Kansas who went on to win the Big 12 regular season championship and advance to the NCAA Finals against Syracuse.

With under 4 minutes to play in the 1991 Final Four, Adonis Jordan drove the lane and connected on an uncanny jump shot while being fouled to give Kansas a double-digit lead over North Carolina and provide enough cushion for them to advance to the National Championship. Roy Williams beats his mentor Dean Smith and Kansas made its then sixth appearance in the NCAA Finals.

With 3 minutes to play in the 1988 NCAA Championship, Kansas displayed total teamwork as the team used all 45 seconds of the shot clock. The possession ended with Clint Normore passing Chris Piper for a jump shot that was nothing but net. The basket gave Kansas a six-point advantage that Oklahoma couldn't overcome, winning them their first National Title since 1952.
