Renteria's 3-run HR
San Francisco vs. Texas
3 - 1
November 1, 2010
AT&T Park, San Francisco, CA
No one had scored in the first six innings of Game 5. Cody Ross hit a ground ball up the middle for a single then Juan Uribe hit a line drive for another single. Two on no outs. Aubrey Huff sacrifice bunted to advance the runners, but then Pat Burrell struck out on a full count and there were 2 outs. It looked like Lee might escape the inning, stranding two runners in scoring position. Then Renteria stepped up to hit. He took two balls and it looked like Cliff Lee might consider walking the bases loaded to get to a weaker hitter, but then Lee sent a 86 mph slider down the center that Renteria took to left field for a three-run home run. Lincecum held the lead to get the win and Wilson got the save and San Francisco got their first World Series championship in San Francisco and first since 1954.
